The employee’s last shift was Tuesday, the outlet said in a statement on Thursday afternoon. Other potentially affected employees are monitoring symptoms or self-isolating “depending on the circumstances as a precaution,” the statement said.

The store will reopen on Friday after a thorough cleaning, “pending consultation with Huron Perth Public Health,” the statement said.

It is mandatory for Beer Store employees to wear face coverings at work.

The health unit on Thursday reported 31 active cases of COVID-19 in the region, including five in Stratford.

There was no workplace outbreak in the region Thursday morning, according to figures from health units.
